So you may be wondering why the name Crazy Black Woman.

Crazy Black Woman is a collaborative blog written by women who have been called crazy sooo many times that it's almost a compliment. 

As a black woman, I've been called crazy not just by my soon to be ex-husband, but by his many girlfriends as well. And you read that correctly, yes, he's cheated numerous times, and I might have been crazy enough to put up with it, so maybe he was just a teensy bit right. 

Now crazy is a term usually bestowed upon us black women because we're strong and opinionated, and we're not willing to take sh*t from any man (or woman). We're not supposed to show our emotions because we're supposed to be docile as a lamb to the slaughter, no matter the circumstances.

So when my husband cheated and lied, I was supposed to accept it and move on, or I was called crazy for showing my emotions and acting on them. 

Women, don't let anyone call you crazy for showing your emotions. Your emotions are valid!
